Estrellitas is an excellent BnB. The breakfasts can’t be beat. The staff are all kind and friendly. The rooms are bright and spacious with mini splits to keep you comfortable no matter the weather. I will be back for my third visit soon!
Best place to stay in Ajijic! Beautiful, very comfortable rooms, great staff, best location. All the rooms have AC, reverse osmosis water, ensuite bathrooms, streaming TV’s, safes and beds are VERY comfy. The onsite cafe is Authentic Mexican decor meets modern comforts.
Estrellitas Bed & Breakfast was the absolute perfect place for us—so perfect, in fact, that we kept extending our stay by two more nights until we finally had to leave Ajijic. The property is beautifully maintained, impeccably clean, and decorated in true Mexican style. We fell so in love with the bedside table lamps that, after meeting the owner, Luis at breakfast, he actually called the store in Tonalá where he had purchased them and helped arrange for us to buy one they happened to have in stock. That kind of thoughtfulness says everything. You can truly feel the love and passion that goes into this spectacular place. Luis is the ultimate host—warm, generous, and incredibly helpful. He even drove us around to look at real estate we might be interested in, took us to Tonalá to pick up the lamp, and then dropped us off at our next destination. If you’re looking for a quaint, beautifully kept place to stay right in the heart of Ajijic, Estrellitas B&B is it. We will absolutely be back.
I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to enjoy a standard hotel again after staying at this truly unique and beautiful place. Communication during booking was excellent, and the B&B itself is absolutely charming—quaint, thoughtfully decorated, and surrounded by stunning gardens and lovely details everywhere you look. The mattresses are quite possibly the best I’ve ever slept on, and the surrounding area is peaceful and really lovely to explore. Our stay isn’t even over yet—we still have a few nights left—but I couldn’t resist sharing this review already.
We had a delightful 11 night stay in February 2026 at Estrellita's. The facilities are lovely, the breakfasts outstanding, the staff warm, friendly and responsive. The beds are comfortable rooms clean. We loved the community breakfast and met so many fascinating people. Spanish and English spoken by all staff. The management really helped us out with travel arrangements and local recommendations. Location is great. Near the lake, LCS and Ajijic central areas. We will gladly stay there again. Colleen & Tom

Nothing much less than perfect. This place was beautiful. food was incredible, but most importantly it was the people the kindness of the people the inn keepers were compassionate and showed me a level of kindness that’s rarely seen. I was going through a difficult time at the hospital and they made every step Easier with their welcome and kindness.
